Here is my war axe as seen in its natural habitat. It’s a 2006 Fender 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Telecaster, and while many players bought these up as collectibles… (and many didn’t) which is how I ended up with it .. I could care less. It was all about playability, tone and incredible bang for the buck. That’s what Tele’s are all about. Right on.
I believe these were built to the 1952 specs-ish, which is probably a bit confusing. (60th anniversary of Fender). Limited to a run of 1000. yadayada custom switch wiring yadayada. whatever. Basically, a kick ass custom shop 52, with some cool inlay and a bunch of worthless case candy, that you can totally pick up for a worthy price these days.
Mine’s been banged, chipped, and had sweat just dripping off of it. I clean it off, wipe it down, and strap it on again. She sounds and plays like a million bucks.
